Akwa Ibom Governor Support Strengthens Alumni Programs

Akwa Ibom governor support shines as Umo Eno donates N10m to VHS 1981 Set Welfare Intervention Scheme and receives Grand Patron title

Akwa Ibom governor support was highlighted on Saturday as Governor Umo Eno reaffirmed his political alignment with President Tinubu and pledged N10 million to support the Victory High School (VHS) 1981 Set Welfare Intervention Scheme.

Eno spoke at the quarterly meeting of the alumni group in Lagos, praising Tinubu’s leadership qualities and achievements, while emphasizing his emotional attachment and commitment to the APC.

The governor received the title of Grand Patron and an Award of Excellent Service from the VHS 1981 Set in recognition of his contributions to alumni growth and human development.

Association President John Abiodun described Eno as a dependable pillar of support, noting that the group’s achievements under the new leadership include provision of office equipment, welfare support for members, and the inauguration of an education and economic development lecture series.

Future plans include capital projects such as procuring a school bus, renovating classrooms, enhancing computer and science laboratory facilities, and designing an alumni investment scheme to generate income for members.
