ADC Promises Strong Leadership Ahead of 2027 Elections

ADC promises strong leadership ahead of 2027 elections, citing massive turnout in gubernatorial screening as confidence in the party grows

The African Democratic Congress, ADC, has declared its readiness to produce capable leaders capable of steering Nigeria towards what it described as the promised land ahead of the 2027 general elections, following its recent gubernatorial screening exercise.

In a statement posted on its official X handle on Wednesday, the party said it had recorded massive nationwide participation, with more than 80 governorship aspirants taking part in its screening process across various states.

ADC promises strong leadership narrative emerged as the party linked the high level of participation to growing public confidence in its platform, describing it as a sign of trust in its vision for credible leadership and national renewal.

According to the party, the exercise brought together aspirants from different parts of the country, all expressing commitment to accountability, purposeful governance, grassroots development and service to the people.

The party stated that the strong turnout reflects increasing acceptance of its internal democratic processes and its ambition to reposition itself as a viable alternative in Nigeria’s political landscape.

It further noted that as momentum builds towards the elections, the ADC remains focused on strengthening internal democracy while preparing to present candidates it considers capable of driving national progress.

“The movement is growing. Hope is rising across Nigeria,” the party said, signalling confidence in its growing support base.
