The appointment was confirmed by a senior aide to the governor and the Anambra State Media Director of the City Boy Movement. According to the source, the confirmation “makes the appointment authentic.”
Adaora Soludo will lead the women’s wing of the movement, which seeks to mobilise grassroots support for the president.
Her appointment follows a recent visit by the leader of the group in Anambra, Mr Obinna Iyiegbu, popularly known as Obi Cubana, and other executives to meet Governor Chukwuma Soludo at the Light House in Awka.
The development is notable given that Governor Soludo is the leader of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), traditionally an opposition party.

Analysts suggest Adaora Soludo’s role in the City Boy Movement could strengthen political engagement among women and youth supporters in the state ahead of upcoming elections.
