PSC Opens Recruitment for 50,000 Nigeria Police Constables

PSC launches nationwide recruitment for 50,000 Nigeria Police Constables. Apply online before January 25, 2026, via the official portal

The Police Service Commission has officially opened applications for 50,000 constables into the Nigeria Police Force, part of a major initiative to strengthen community policing and national security.

The announcement was made on Monday, December 15, 2025, by the Sokoto State Police Command.

The recruitment exercise, fully free of charge, follows a Presidential directive to expand the manpower of the Force.

The Commission warned applicants to avoid unauthorised intermediaries or websites.

According to the statement, applicants must be Nigerian citizens by birth, hold a valid National Identification Number (NIN), and be medically, physically, and psychologically fit.

They must also be free from any criminal record or financial embarrassment.

The recruitment covers two categories: General Duty and Specialists. For General Duty, applicants must be aged between 18 and 25, possess at least five credits in WAEC, SSCE, or NECO including English Language and Mathematics, and meet height requirements of 1.67 metres for males and 1.64 metres for females.

Specialists must be between 18 and 28 years old, hold at least four relevant credits, and possess recognised qualifications or trade test certificates with a minimum of three years’ practical experience in areas such as medical services, ICT, engineering, driving, and motor mechanics.

The application portal will remain open for six weeks, closing at 11:59 pm on Sunday, January 25, 2026.

Applications must be submitted exclusively via [npfapplication.psc.gov.ng](https://npfapplication.psc.gov.ng). Multiple submissions or attempts to influence the process will result in immediate disqualification.
