Nenadi Esther Usman is an influential Nigerian politician who has held significant positions at both state and federal levels.
Born on November 12, 1966, she served as the federal Minister of Finance from July 2006 to May 2007 under the Obasanjo administration, prior to which she was Minister of State for Finance.
A graduate of Geography from Ahmadu Bello University and with a postgraduate diploma from the University of Jos, Usman’s career spans public service and active political engagement.
She was elected as a Senator representing Kaduna South Senatorial District in the April 2011 elections under the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) platform.
Throughout her career, Nenadi Usman has been a vocal advocate for women’s empowerment and played a crucial role in the formation of NGOs dedicated to women’s development in Kaduna State.
