Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has insisted that he remains firmly in the 2027 presidential race, declaring that no court ruling or political manoeuvre will force him to withdraw.
Atiku made the statement in a release issued on Friday, following a Federal High Court judgment that affected the leadership of the African Democratic Congress (ADC).
“I am in this race. I am not going anywhere. We will be on the ballot. No threat, blackmail or court manoeuvre will make me abandon you or the cause we share,” he said.
The ADC presidential candidate urged Nigerians not to mistake the court ruling for the will of the people, stressing that the electorate must be allowed to decide the country’s future at the ballot box.
He accused the ruling party of deploying political pressure and court processes to weaken the opposition, but maintained that such efforts would not deter his campaign.
Atiku reaffirmed his commitment to continue mobilising support ahead of the 2027 general election.
