The hearing forms part of a 10-count charge involving alleged conversion of public property and money laundering.
El-Rufai’s counsel, Ukpong Abang (SAN), confirmed that the matter was adjourned from Tuesday, with proceedings continuing today.
He said the defence team was filing responses as part of preparations for the bail hearing.
The former governor arrived under heavy security and was escorted out of the court premises in a white Hilux vehicle by operatives of the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC).
He has been standing trial before Justice Rilwan M. Aikawa.
El-Rufai previously spent over a month in detention before being released on compassionate grounds following the death of his mother in March 2026.
The court had earlier fixed March 31, 2026, for the hearing of pending applications, including his bail request.
