Speaking at the event in Abuja, national coordinator Lauretta Onochie said the movement was designed to strengthen internal cohesion and encourage reconciliation among party members.
She emphasised that unity is the foundation for achieving meaningful political results.
“The movement is to help strengthen our unity at all levels. Across Nigeria today, our people are watching the political space with hope and expectation. The One ADC Movement is built on a simple but powerful principle that unity is the greatest strength of any political party,” Onochie said.
Former ADC national chairman Raph Nwosu described the initiative as a way to empower Nigerians to take ownership of the party, providing an alternative platform to challenge APC.
He warned that Nigeria is “in ICU,” stressing that citizen-led mobilisation is critical to repairing the nation ahead of 2027.
“A political party is not merely an election platform. It is a community, a family, a gathering of people who believe they can build something stronger together. In 2027, Nigeria must arise and shine, and by empowering citizens within the ADC, we are taking action to ensure that happens,” Nwosu added.
Director of Mobilisation Umar Shuiabu confirmed that the movement will roll out nationwide, working to defeat what the party described as a “corrupt regime” and galvanise Nigerians ahead of the next general elections.
