The governor made the remarks during a reception service organised in his honour by the Assemblies of God Church, Okaiuga Nkwoegwu, Umuahia North Local Government Area.
Addressing congregants, Otti emphasised that the time for aggressive development in Abia has arrived, declaring that the longstanding challenges hampering the state’s progress have been broken.
“We have just started. We are not three years old yet. So, you can imagine what will happen by the time we are done in 2031. Whoever is going to succeed me will be better than me,” Otti said.
He added that faith and divine timing have guided his administration’s achievements.
During the ceremony, Otti responded to requests from the church for a Hummer bus to support evangelism and land for a prayer camp.
He confirmed that the bus would be delivered within the week, courtesy of Prince Dr. Arthur Eze, and directed his Chief of Staff, Pastor Caleb Ajagba, PhD, to liaise with church leaders to secure land for the prayer camp.
Rev. Dr Kenneth Ogbudu, District Superintendent of the Assemblies of God Church, Jerusalem District, praised Otti as a transformational leader whose tenure has redefined governance in Abia.
He highlighted the administration’s accomplishments, including the restoration of public infrastructure, reconstruction of long-abandoned roads, and revitalisation of economic activities across Aba and surrounding communities.
Ogbudu further commended the government for introducing fiscal discipline, regular payment of salaries and pensions, and institutional reforms aimed at transparency and accountability.
He described Otti’s leadership as a clear departure from previous administrations, with a focus on public service rather than personal interests.
