Tambuwal dismissed remarks by former Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose, that Peter Obi is the “life of ADC.”
“I have been part of the coalition and there is the possibility of transitioning to ADC. I’m consulting our stakeholders in Sokoto and across the country to conclude on that,” Tambuwal said.
He emphasised the importance of transparency in the party’s primaries.
“The leadership of the ADC from the very foundation agreed to have a very transparent primary election and if we have it, all of us in the coalition will support that candidate,” he added.
Tambuwal reiterated that it would be inappropriate to show preference before the primaries.
“Atiku Abubakar, Peter Obi, Rotimi Amaechi, we will all support. I have been playing a major role in the coalition and it would be insensitive to tell people to vote for one or the other at this stage,” he said.
