The statement, released on Wednesday, clarified that the publication was made without authorization by Idris’ aide, Sa’idu Enagi.

“The write-up and all its contents are hereby vehemently disclaimed,” the minister’s office said, urging the public to disregard the publication.

The statement emphasised that the opinions expressed in the article do not reflect the minister’s views or intentions.

The disclaimer further affirmed that Idris remains focused on his responsibilities at the Federal Ministry of Information and National Orientation and has no interest in political distractions or premature electioneering.

The aide responsible for the unauthorised publication has been suspended, and an immediate investigation has been ordered.

The statement also highlighted the minister’s cordial working relationship with Niger State Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago, stressing their joint commitment to the development and stability of the state.

“Speculations about the 2027 elections would be inimical to these noble objectives,” the statement added.
