The challenge was issued on Tuesday through a statement by Wike’s media aide, Lere Olayinka, following Kingibe’s remarks during a televised interview where she labelled Wike’s ministerial appointment as President Tinubu’s “biggest mistake”.
Olayinka said, “If she is truly confident in her political weight, let her visit Saburi, Dei Dei, Kabusa, Ketti, Yangoji, Pai, Gomani, Gishiri, Kwaita, Yebu, Sukuku, and others that now have good roads. Let her tell them that Tinubu made a mistake.”
He accused the senator of overlooking the transformation across the Federal Capital Territory under Wike’s leadership.
The projects cited include improved road networks in neglected suburbs, relocation plans for Apo Mechanic traders after 15 years, and major infrastructure works in Abaji and schools across the FCT.
“She is blinded by the spirit of an impending defeat,” he said, further mocking Kingibe’s 2027 prospects by calling her 2023 Senate win accidental.
“At 71, she should stop hiding under the name of Ambassador Baba Gana Kingibe, who is no longer her husband, and use her real name,” Olayinka added.
