APC in Osun State names former lawmaker Tunde Olatunji as Bola Oyebamiji’s running mate for the 2026 governorship election
The All Progressives Congress, APC, has selected former lawmaker Tunde Lekan Olatunji as the running mate to its governorship candidate, Bola Oyebamiji, ahead of the 2026 Osun State governorship election.

The announcement was confirmed after the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, Osun State office published the names of political parties and their candidates in all local government offices across the state.
Olatunji, an indigene of Edunabon town, previously represented Ife North State Constituency in the Osun State House of Assembly from 2019 to 2023.
During his tenure, he served as Chief Whip, coordinating legislative business and maintaining party discipline within the Assembly.
Party officials noted that the decision followed consultations with stakeholders across Osun State, aiming to strengthen the APC ticket ahead of the polls.

The selection sets the stage for the APC’s campaign strategy as the party prepares for a highly contested governorship election in 2026.
