Tubase Ibrahim senatorial agenda was presented as part of his campaign vision tagged “Secure, Develop and Unite,” which he said is designed to address insecurity and unlock economic opportunities across the Southern Taraba senatorial district.
The retired general, who has obtained the APC expression of interest and nomination forms, said his legislative focus would cover Wukari, Ibi, Takum, Donga, Ussa, and the Yangtu Development Area, with a commitment to delivering measurable development outcomes.
Ibrahim stated that his top priority would be strengthening security across communities through the creation of ward-level peace committees and improved collaboration between residents and security agencies.
He also proposed increased federal presence in the region, including technology-driven surveillance systems aimed at tackling kidnapping, banditry, and recurring farmer-herder conflicts.
The APC aspirant emphasised that sustainable development cannot take place without peace, adding that restoring stability in Southern Taraba would be central to his legislative agenda.
On agriculture, Ibrahim pledged to push for irrigation projects along the Benue and Donga river basins to support year-round farming and improve food production.
He also outlined plans to establish agro-processing centres for crops such as rice, yam, cassava, and sesame, aimed at reducing post-harvest losses and boosting rural incomes.
For youth development, he promised the establishment of skills acquisition centres across the district and the creation of a scholarship and bursary fund for students from disadvantaged backgrounds.
Ibrahim further listed infrastructure development, including rural roads, electrification, and water supply, as key priorities requiring federal intervention.
He also pledged to sponsor legislative bills on security reforms, agricultural development, and decentralisation of governance, while committing to annual constituency reports for transparency and accountability.
The former military officer said his experience in service had equipped him with discipline and leadership skills needed for effective representation.
