Tinubu Group Launches Handbook, Urges Grassroots Drive

Tinubu Support Group unveils ideological handbook, calls for grassroots sensitisation on key policies including student loans, healthcare, and LG autonomy.

ABUJA — The Director-General of the Tinubu Support Group (TSG), Dr Umar Tanko-Yakasai, has called on members of the Bola Ahmed Tinubu Ideological Group (BATIG) to intensify grassroots sensitisation on key government policies using the group’s newly launched handbook.

Yakasai made the appeal during a courtesy visit by BATIG members at his Abuja residence on Tuesday, where the official handbook was unveiled in the presence of coordinators from all 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory

>“This handbook is not just a document—it is a strategy tool. We must use it to educate every ward, every community, on the principles of good governance and national unity,” Yakasai said.

The TSG DG praised the group’s national reach, describing its work as central to political education, grassroots mobilisation, and public enlightenment on the Tinubu administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda.

Bamidele Atoyebi, convener of BATIG, said the handbook represents a milestonein consolidating President Tinubu’s progressive ideology into a structured civic movement.

“Let this handbook be your compass,” Atoyebi told coordinators.

“It moves us from political mobilisation to policy advocacy and civic action.”

Atoyebi outlined four flagship policies for members to champion at the local level:

  • Local government autonomy
  • Healthcare reform
  • NELFUND student loan scheme
  • ₦45,000 monthly stipend for technical college students under TVET reform

In a move to enhance transparency, Atoyebi announced that BATIG has invested ₦20 million to:

  •  Deploy drones to monitor federal projects
  •  Sponsor radio jingles to educate the public
  •  Launch a coordinating website donated to the Tinubu Support Group
  •  Secure Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) registration to formalise its operations

“We’re not just another support group. We are a civic force of technocrats working to ensure the public sees and understands what this government is doing,” he added.

Alhaji Tejumade Suleiman, a patron of the group, described the handbook as “a milestone that must now translate into measurable grassroots impact.”

He urged members to remain dedicated, inclusive, and humble, echoing Tinubu’s values of public service and progressive governance.

Yakasai closed by reminding members that their efforts must aim to build public trust, especially at the community level:
