The message was conveyed in a statement issued on Wednesday by the President’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga.
President Bola Tinubu, who mentored Governor Sanwo-Olu during his early political career, described him as a committed leader who has remained steadfast in advancing Lagos State through purposeful governance.
“Your execution of this vision is exemplified by landmark achievements, including completing the Blue and Red Rail lines and the ongoing preparations for the Purple Line, which will serve the vital Lekki corridor,” Tinubu said in the statement.

The President encouraged Sanwo-Olu to maintain his developmental momentum by prioritising critical infrastructure projects such as the long-anticipated Fourth Mainland Bridge and the Freedom Way to Victoria Garden City (VGC) Road.
He also extended warm wishes to the Governor, praying for continued good health and more years of service to both Lagos and Nigeria at large.
The statement highlighted Sanwo-Olu’s progression through various public service roles in Lagos State, including his time as Commissioner in several ministries and as Managing Director of the Lagos State Property Development Corporation, all under Tinubu’s guidance.
