Governor Sanwo-Olu to host APC leaders and candidates ahead of Lagos local elections scheduled for July 12, aiming to boost mobilisation and campaign efforts
Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, is set to host a high-level stakeholders’ meeting with leaders and candidates of the All Progressives Congress (APC) ahead of the July 12 local government elections.

This was revealed in a statement on Sunday by the Lagos APC Publicity Secretary, Mr Seye Oladejo.
According to Oladejo, the strategic parley will bring together party leaders, elected and appointed officials, as well as all chairmanship and councillorship candidates running on the party’s platform. The meeting is scheduled to take place at the State House, Marina.
The meeting will serve as the rallying point for the mobilisation of our troops towards the local government elections.
He commended Lagos residents for their unwavering support of the APC’s progressive vision, noting that this backing had fuelled the state’s impressive development across various sectors.
“We are confident that the landmark achievements of our local government councils in education, primary healthcare, housing, and social interventions will be rewarded with overwhelming votes at the polls,” he added.
The News Agency of Nigeria reports that the APC officially presented flags to its 57 chairmanship and 376 councillorship candidates on Tuesday, signalling the start of the party’s campaign. The event was held at the APC State Secretariat in Ogba.

With the elections drawing near, the party says it is optimistic that its grassroots impact and governance record will translate into another sweeping victory at the polls.
