Sukubo Sara-Igbe Sukubo receives strong endorsement from NYCN State Chairmen for re-election, highlighting his leadership and commitment to youth development
Sukubo Sara-Igbe Sukubo endorsement from the Forum of State Chairmen of the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) signals robust support for his bid for another four-year term.

The announcement followed a meeting in Ibadan, Oyo State, where the Forum, representing all 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory, praised Sukubo’s leadership and dedication to youth affairs.
In a communiqué signed by key officials, including Amb. Abdulsalam Abdulquadri Olusegun, Chairman of the Chairmen’s Forum, the group expressed confidence in Sukubo’s record and pledged to mobilise nationwide support to secure his re-election at the upcoming National Elective Congress in September.
While firmly backing the incumbent, the Forum emphasised that the endorsement does not exclude any eligible candidate from contesting, maintaining a transparent and open election process.
The State Chairmen also approved recent amendments to the NYCN Constitution aimed at improving governance and operations within the council.
Members were urged to familiarise themselves with these changes and ensure effective implementation.
Additionally, the Forum commended the Affiliation and Revalidation Committee for confirming 83 of 104 voluntary youth organisations as NYCN members, encouraging these groups to collaborate closely with the council’s leadership for shared goals.
Welcoming the integrity of the Congress Planning and National Electoral Committees, the Forum expressed optimism for a fair and credible electoral process.
Finally, the body called on all NYCN organs, including the National Management Committee and Advisory Council, to unite in promoting greater youth involvement in Nigeria’s development.
