The lawmakers made the announcement on Friday during a live broadcast monitored by PUNCH Online, days after publicly calling for dialogue to resolve the state’s political crisis.
The impeachment process, led by Speaker Martin Amaewhule, targets Governor Fubara and his deputy, Prof. Ngozi Odu, over alleged gross misconduct, including the demolition of the Assembly complex and spending public funds without legislative approval.
Earlier in the week, the four legislators had withdrawn from the process, citing the need for political reconciliation.
Their reversal suggests the impeachment proceedings are regaining momentum within the House, amid tensions and disagreements among members.
The Assembly had failed to reconvene for plenary on Thursday, a week after its last sitting, fueling speculation about internal divisions.
Lawmakers insisted the impeachment is constitutional and the only solution to the ongoing political impasse in the state.
