Plateau Mutfwang APC alignment support was made known by the group’s National Coordinator, Chris Ishaku, who said the governor’s decision reflects political foresight amid growing uncertainty within the Peoples Democratic Party.
Ishaku argued that recent political developments within the opposition have exposed internal instability, making it necessary for leaders to reposition in the interest of governance and continuity.
According to him, the governor’s alignment with the ruling party has already begun yielding positive outcomes, including improved relations with the Federal Government and renewed attention to key infrastructure projects.
He cited the commencement of work on the Akwanga–Jos road project as an example of early benefits, noting that such developments could boost economic activity and enhance security in the region.
The Plateau Mutfwang APC alignment support group further stated that reduced political tension within the state has created a more stable environment for governance and development planning.
