Presidency renews Peter Obi falsehood claims, alleging his criticisms of Tinubu’s government fail forensic scrutiny
Peter Obi falsehood claims have resurfaced after the Presidency accused the former Anambra State governor of making unfounded statements while criticising President Bola Tinubu’s administration.

Special Adviser to the President on Policy Communication, Daniel Bwala, levelled the accusation during an appearance on Channels TV on Wednesday.
He argued that opposition leaders, particularly Obi, focus on rhetoric instead of offering credible, policy-based alternatives.
“Opposition cannot come here and talk about malnutrition, you know why? They don’t have the ideas,” Bwala said.
“Till today, the opposition has not come up with any policy issues to say President Tinubu is wrong, this is how it should be.”
While noting that Peter Obi came “closest” to engaging on policy, Bwala claimed the Labour Party’s 2023 presidential candidate engages in what he described as “catch and carry” politics.
“Whenever you subject what he says to forensic analysis, it always comes out as falsehood,” he alleged.
The remarks reflect a growing tension between the Presidency and opposition figures, with Bwala framing the debate as one-sided, lacking in practical governance proposals from critics.

The Presidency’s latest comments signal that political sparring between Tinubu’s team and Obi’s camp is unlikely to cool anytime soon, as both sides continue to challenge each other’s credibility.
