The PDP National Convention 2025 will now hold in Ibadan, Oyo State, rather than Kano, as earlier scheduled.
This was disclosed in a communiqué issued after the 101st NEC meeting held in Abuja on Thursday, 24 July 2025.
The party’s National Publicity Secretary, Debo Ologunagba, read the statement to the media.
“NEC approved the 2025 Elective National Convention Schedule of Activities and Timetable.
Under the approved timetable, the Elective National Convention will hold on Saturday, 15th to Sunday, 16th November, 2025, in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital,” the communiqué read.
It added that NEC directed the National Chairman, Ambassador Iliya Damagum, and the National Secretary, Senator Samuel Anyanwu, to formally notify the Independent National Electoral Commission of the date and venue.
This is in line with Section 82(1) of the Electoral Act, 2022, and the guidelines for political parties.
