PDP Elective National Convention Set for November

PDP Elective National Convention will hold from November 15 to 16, 2025, in Ibadan as the party prepares for the 2027 general elections

PDP Elective National Convention has been officially scheduled for November 15–16, 2025, in Ibadan, marking a major milestone in the party’s journey toward reclaiming political dominance in 2027.

The decision was finalized at the PDP’s 101st NEC meeting, where party leaders laid out a comprehensive roadmap for internal reform, unity, and credible leadership selection.

Acting National Chairman Umar Damagum described the move as a powerful step forward, asserting that the party is regaining momentum, with many former members returning after the collapse of rival coalitions.

Governor Bala Mohammed reiterated the importance of discipline, while former BoT Chairman Adolphus Wabara emphasized the significance of inspiring leadership to attract defectors back.

NEC also approved committees for zoning and convention logistics, committing to a credible and inclusive process.

The PDP Elective National Convention aims to reposition the party as the leading opposition force, with a renewed focus on national stability, reconciliation, and future leadership.
