PDP 2025 National Convention committees unveiled ahead of its November event in Ibadan, with key governors and senators heading various sub-committees
PDP 2025 National Convention committees have officially been unveiled ahead of the party’s elective convention scheduled for 15–16 November 2025 in Ibadan, Oyo State.

The Peoples Democratic Party made the announcement via its verified X account on Monday, confirming the approval and release of sub-committee lists by the National Convention Organising Committee (NCOC).
The committees—comprising over 100 members—will oversee various aspects of the national convention, from accreditation to electoral logistics, venue coordination, and welfare.
The release was endorsed by the NCOC Chairman and Adamawa State Governor, Umaru Fintiri.
According to the party, the convention is aimed at electing new national officers to lead the PDP into the next political cycle, ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Each sub-committee is led by notable political figures, including state governors, senators, and senior party members.
In the Accommodation Committee, Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke serves as chairman, alongside Dr Ibrahim Dankwambo as deputy and Alhaji Gamboa Gade as secretary.
Accreditation is chaired by Zamfara State Governor Dauda Lawal, assisted by Ashamu Abantekewei (deputy) and Umar Bature (secretary).
Bayelsa Governor Douye Diri heads the Contact and Mobilisation Committee, with Senator Abba Moro and Emmanuel Ekpe as deputy and secretary respectively.
Former Akwa Ibom Governor Udom Emmanuel leads the Constitutional Amendment Committee, joined by Barr. Mark Jacob and Adeyemi Ajibade, SAN.
For the Electoral sub-committee, Governor Fintiri continues as chairman, with Governor Adeleke as deputy and Dr Okereke Ipeazu as secretary.
Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan chairs the Entertainment and Welfare panel, with Hajiya Hassana Dikro and Mrs Amina Darasimi as deputy and secretary.
In a strong show of experience, Former Senate President Bukola Saraki will chair the Medical Committee, assisted by Jumoke Akinjide and Dr Josephine Ugeh.
The Monitoring and Evaluation group is led by Dr Agbo Emmanuel, with Senator Tajudeen Abbas and Dr Edward Aje.
Governor Caleb Muftwang heads Protocol, with Senator Olaleke Chewunmi and Tolbin Godwin.
For Publicity, Governor Bala Mohammed serves as chairman, with Lady Ime Udom and Lucky Igbinedion as deputy and secretary.
Security responsibilities fall to Governor Kefas Agbu, supported by Senator Austin Akobundu (Rtd) and Alhaji Yerima Hussain.
In the Transportation Committee, Oyo Governor Seyi Makinde leads, with Senator Sunday Marshall Katung and Hon. Dr Adebayo Adepoju.
The Venue Committee is chaired by Adebayo Lawal, Director-General of Oyo State, with Hon. Laurentia Mallam and Hon. Scholastica Kanebi.

The PDP stressed that the committees were carefully constituted to ensure a seamless and credible convention process, underscoring its commitment to internal democracy and party reform.
