Party chieftains made the declaration on Saturday during the launch of a book by NAN reporter Akeem Abas, titled A Life of Principle:

The Olayide Moshood Abas Story, in honour of his father, Pharmacist Olayide Abas, chairman of Oyo APC.

The event, which also celebrated the APC chairman’s 76th birthday, drew prominent party figures including Senator Sharafadeen Abiodun Alli, House of Representatives member Aderemi Oseni, APC senatorial aspirant Wasiu Ademola Alli, and gubernatorial aspirant Barrister Akeem Agbaje.

Other attendees included party officials Ayodeji Abass-Aleshinloye, Wasiu Olawale Sadare, Idris Lapade, Architect Hassan Giwa, Yemi Aderibigbe, Senator Kola Balogun, and NUJ Ogun State Chairman Ademola Babalola.

Oyo APC lost power to Governor Seyi Makinde of PDP in the 2019 and 2023 elections. Speaking at the launch, Alli assured journalists there is no internal conflict within the party.

“There is no problem in Oyo State APC. By the special grace of God, APC is coming to take over Oyo State in 2027. The President has said it yesterday,” he stated.

Agbaje echoed the sentiment, emphasising party unity as the key to victory. “Well my own view is that APC has always been the strongest party in Oyo State. And once we are united we will always defeat the PDP,” he said.
