Oyintiloye, Tinubu Defence as APC chieftain dismisses ADC crisis claims and insists Tinubu is not involved in opposition party disputes
Olatunbosun Oyintiloye, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress in Osun State, on Monday in Osogbo, strongly dismissed allegations linking President Bola Tinubu to the internal crisis within the African Democratic Congress, asserting that no campaign of calumny could prevent the president from securing a landslide victory in the 2027 general elections.

Oyintiloye described the claims as disturbing and urged the ADC leadership to focus on resolving its internal disagreements rather than attributing its challenges to external forces.
Tinubu Defence came amid rising political rhetoric surrounding party alignments and preparations ahead of the next election cycle.
Speaking to journalists, Oyintiloye maintained that President Tinubu, whom he described as a committed democrat, has no incentive to interfere in the affairs of other political parties.
He argued that the president does not engage in actions that would destabilise opposition groups for political advantage.
He further noted that the ADC’s internal disputes are unrelated to the presidency, referencing ongoing legal proceedings that have affected the party’s structure.
Oyintiloye pointed out that court decisions and institutional processes, rather than political interference, have shaped the current situation within the ADC.
In his remarks, the APC chieftain also addressed claims suggesting that Nigeria is drifting towards a one party system.
He stated that the country currently has 21 registered political parties recognised by the Independent National Electoral Commission, many of which are expected to participate in the 2027 elections.
Oyintiloye insisted that the existence of multiple parties contradicts assertions of a one party state, urging opposition leaders to avoid spreading what he described as unverified narratives.
He emphasised that political parties should concentrate on internal organisation and credible engagement with the electorate.
Reiterating his position, Oyintiloye advised the ADC to resolve its leadership and structural issues internally, warning that continued blame shifting would not address the underlying challenges.
