The exercise was carried out as part of INEC’s statutory regulatory duties, during which the Commission reportedly assessed the party’s administrative structure, membership records, and operational capacity.
According to the party, the process was concluded without disruption and has strengthened confidence in its current leadership structure.
The NNPP stated that the exercise serves as official validation of the Bala Yunusa Mohammed-led National Working Committee, insisting it reinforces its recognition as the authentic leadership of the party.
In a strongly worded statement, the party dismissed claims from expelled members, describing their attempts to challenge the process as unsuccessful and without legal merit.
It argued that references to court rulings by the expelled members were misleading, adding that existing judgments already affirm their removal from the party.
The NNPP further accused the group of withholding relevant legal facts in ongoing disputes, stating that such issues would ultimately be resolved by higher judicial authorities.
The party maintained that it remains focused on internal consolidation and preparation for the 2027 general elections, expressing confidence in its organisational strength.
It also confirmed that preparations for internal primaries have been concluded, with elections scheduled for May 26, 2026, across multiple elective positions including state and federal offices.
The NNPP urged members across the country to remain active in its grassroots structure, encouraging continued registration across wards in all local government areas.
Party leaders said the outcome of the verification exercise demonstrates stability within its ranks and signals readiness for upcoming political contests.
