Ned Nwoko asserts victory in APC primary election dispute comes amid growing political tension within the party, as the senator urged the national leadership of the APC to uphold what he described as a clear mandate freely given by party members during the exercise.

Nwoko asserted that he secured victory in 97 of the 98 wards in Delta North, describing the outcome as overwhelming and decisive.

He further claimed to have recorded approximately 123,000 votes against about 6,000 votes allegedly polled by Okowa in the primary election.

In his statement, the senator called on the APC National Working Committee and party leadership to resist any attempt to overturn the result, warning that such action could undermine internal democracy and weaken confidence among party supporters.

APC primary election victory claim made by Ned Nwoko was accompanied by strong language, as the lawmaker described any reversal of the outcome as a potential abuse of the democratic wishes of party members who participated in the process.

He further stated that the credibility of the results could be independently verified, citing what he described as extensive video evidence gathered from polling wards across the senatorial district during the exercise.

According to Nwoko, authenticated recordings from the 98 wards support his claim of victory, and he questioned the legitimacy of any alternative figures allegedly produced by a panel appointed under political influence.

The senator maintained that the integrity of the primary election must be preserved to protect democratic participation within the APC, warning that disregarding the outcome could have political consequences for the party in Delta North.
