Kwankwaso discussed the growing influence of youth perspectives in shaping Nigeria’s political landscape.
Kwankwaso reveals daughter’s role in Peter Obi discussion came as he highlighted how younger Nigerians are increasingly prioritising leadership quality and governance over ethnic or religious considerations.
According to him, even within his own household, political discussions reflected this generational shift, as his daughter reportedly urged him to collaborate with Peter Obi during the election period.
Kwankwaso noted that many young people are now more focused on accountability and performance in leadership rather than identity-based politics, a trend he described as significant for the country’s democratic evolution.
He also expressed concern that some political leaders have failed to fully engage with younger Nigerians, particularly in understanding their expectations and use of digital platforms.
The former governor further stated that this growing demand for credible leadership is reshaping political conversations across the country.

Kwankwaso added that while older generations often emphasise religion and ethnicity, younger voters are increasingly united in their call for effective governance and national development.
