Ikwa affirmed that he remains “a proud, committed, and card-carrying member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP),” stressing that claims of any plan to defect are entirely false.
Describing the reports as baseless and misleading, he said the rumours were propagated by “desperate elements within the APC” as “cheap propaganda aimed at confusing the public.”
“There is no meeting, no negotiation, no discussion, and no intention whatsoever to defect,” the chairman-elect said, adding that those spreading the falsehood are either mischief-makers or politically unsettled individuals frustrated by his clear mandate from the electorate.
