Eze, once a vocal supporter of the party, said he regretted his involvement in persuading Nigerians to embrace the APC, alleging that the party had deviated sharply from its founding principles and ideological direction.
He accused the current administration of worsening economic hardship, claiming the naira had continued to slide in value despite earlier promises of stability.
He also raised concerns over insecurity, describing parts of the country as increasingly unsafe.
In his statement, Eze argued that the education sector had deteriorated significantly, while governance structures, in his view, had weakened democratic accountability.
He further alleged that corruption had become more entrenched under the current political leadership.
The APC chieftain also criticised the government’s handling of food security, claiming that rising insecurity in farming communities had contributed to displacement and dependence on relief camps in some regions.
He said the decision to join the ADC was driven by a need to align with a platform he believes could restore public trust and offer a credible alternative in national politics.
