The suspension was formalised in a letter dated 11 February 2026 and signed by Ward Chairman Chukwuka Ojinji, Vice Chairman Ambrose Okafor, and Secretary Magboma Confidence.

Copies of the letter were forwarded to the Ika North-East Party Chairman, the Senatorial Chairman of the National Working Committee, and the National Executive Council.

The notice cited multiple allegations, including engaging in unauthorised party activities, endorsing an illegal consensus executive list for Ward 7, and undermining party leadership and candidates.

The letter stated that Commissioner Aniagwu’s actions were in breach of Article 21 of the APC Constitution as amended.

The suspension letter instructs Commissioner Aniagwu to cease all party-related activities immediately, refrain from using APC symbols, logos, or platforms, and not participate in any party meetings or events.

Attempts to contact Commissioner Aniagwu for comment were unsuccessful, as he did not answer calls or respond to text messages regarding the allegations.
