David Mark Reacts to Obi, Kwankwaso ADC Exit

Mark made the remarks on Wednesday in Abuja while addressing members of the Forum of ADC Former and Serving Federal Lawmakers, where he acknowledged the political weight of the departure but maintained that it would not weaken the party.

The former Senate President stated that although the exit of the two prominent politicians would have some impact, it would instead motivate the party to intensify its efforts and build a stronger political structure.

According to him, the African Democratic Congress remains focused on presenting credible candidates capable of winning elections in 2027, despite recent realignments within the opposition space.

“No doubt, the exit of Obi and Kwankwaso has its impact, but it will spur us to work harder,” Mark said during the meeting.

He expressed confidence that the current challenges facing the party would serve as a catalyst for internal consolidation and improved political strategy going forward.

Peter Obi and Rabi’u Musa Kwankwaso recently left the ADC for the Nigeria Democratic Congress, citing internal disputes and ongoing court cases within the party.
