David Mark Warns Against Corruption in ADC Delta Leadership

Senator David Mark, National Chairman of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), has cautioned party chieftains and members in Delta State against corruption, ticket trading, and manipulation of primaries.

He delivered the warning in Asaba during the inauguration of the Delta State Transition Management Committee on Thursday.

Mark, represented at the event by former Secretary to the Federal Government Babachir Lawal, stressed that such practices, common in other parties, will not be tolerated within the ADC.

The newly inaugurated leadership team includes Olorogun Great Ogboru, the APC-turned-ADC governorship candidate in the 2023 general elections, alongside Deacon Kennedy Pela, Hon. Uloho Obaro, Engr. Austin Okolie, Hon. George Timinimi, and Hon. Emeka Ozegbe.

Mark outlined the responsibilities of the team, highlighting membership registration, mobilisation, validation, and the establishment of offices at state, local government, ward, and unit levels.

He emphasised public sensitisation and awareness campaigns to strengthen party structures across Delta State.

Speaking at the event, ADC National Publicity Secretary Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi reiterated the party’s commitment to justice, equity, and transparency.

He urged Nigerians to assess governance under the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and consider the ADC as a credible alternative.

Abdullahi described the party as the “last standing credible opposition” and positioned it as a national movement to empower ordinary citizens.

National Vice Chairman (South-South), Usani Uguru Usani, encouraged ADC members in the Niger Delta to remain steadfast, stating that fear has no place in the party and dismissing rumours of internal divisions as “a storm in a tea cup.”
