Former Nigerian lawmaker Ben Murray Bruce has been listed among aspirants who failed the All Progressives Congress, APC, screening exercise for senatorial candidates ahead of the party’s primary elections in Nigeria.

The development was confirmed after the APC released the official list of senatorial aspirants who were not cleared to participate in the upcoming primaries, affecting several contenders across Bayelsa State.

Ben Murray Bruce, who previously represented Bayelsa East in the National Assembly, was among those affected in the screening outcome linked to the Ben Murray Bruce APC Screening exercise.

According to the published list, other affected aspirants from Bayelsa State include Donald Daunemigita from Bayelsa West, Senator Benson S. Agadaga from Bayelsa East, alongside Ben Murray Bruce, also from Bayelsa East senatorial district.

The APC screening decision means the affected aspirants will not proceed to the next stage of the party’s nomination process unless the outcome is reviewed or reconsidered by the appropriate screening committee.
