Bauchi Governor Bala Mohammed sacks commissioner in cabinet reshuffle, pledging improved governance and service delivery across the state
Bauchi State Governor, Senator Bala Mohammed, has dismissed Alhaji Ibrahim Gambo Galadima, the Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, with immediate effect, the governor’s office announced on Monday, February 9, 2026.

The dismissal forms part of a broader cabinet reshuffle aimed at injecting fresh ideas, strengthening governance, and repositioning the administration to enhance service delivery across the state, according to a statement from Mukhtar Gidado, the governor’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity.
Governor Mohammed expressed gratitude to Galadima for his contributions and wished him success in his future endeavours.
The statement assured Bauchi residents of the government’s ongoing commitment to peace, security, and effective governance.
While a replacement has not yet been announced, the administration said it would provide details in due course.
