Dr. Francis Okoye, Chairman of the APC Screening and Appeal Committee in the state, said the absence of complaints demonstrates that the process was transparent and credible.
“I can confirm that nobody wrote any petition to my committee,” Okoye told journalists in Damaturu.
He commended the state ward congress screening team, describing the exercise as one of the best overseen by the committee.
The Chairman of the Yobe State APC Congress Committee, Engineer Dr. Muttaqa Rabe Darma, attributed the smooth conduct of the congresses to the political maturity of Governor Mai Mala Buni.
Darma noted that the governor’s experience as a former national party leader created a peaceful and supportive environment.
“The conducive environment he created allowed us to do our work without rancour,” Darma said.
The screening process covered aspirants from all 178 wards in the state, clearing them to participate fully in the congresses.
