APC South-West urges Ondo youths to obtain PVCs during INEC registration ahead of the 2027 general elections

The appeal was made on Thursday in a statement by the APC South-West Youth Leader, Daramola Adesuyi, who stressed the importance of active civic participation among young people in the region.
Adesuyi described the PVC as a critical instrument for democratic engagement, noting that it remains the only valid means through which eligible citizens can vote in elections.
“The PVC is critical for every citizen who wants to engage in the democratic process. It grants eligible citizens the right to vote and is a vital tool in ensuring the government reflects the will of the people,” he said.
He explained that beyond voting rights, the PVC also serves as an important form of identification in Nigeria’s electoral system.
The APC youth leader urged party members, youth leaders, and stakeholders across the South-West to intensify mobilisation efforts for the third phase of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Continuous Voter Registration exercise.
According to him, the ongoing registration window provides an opportunity for new voters, especially those who have recently turned 18, as well as individuals seeking to transfer their registration or replace lost or damaged PVCs.
Adesuyi noted that the second phase of the registration exercise concluded on 17 April 2026, while the current phase offers a final opportunity for eligible citizens to register ahead of the elections.
He further called on local government youth leaders, student representatives, and other community stakeholders to ensure broad participation, stressing that youth engagement is vital to shaping Nigeria’s political future.

The APC, he added, remains committed to encouraging voter awareness and participation across the South-West as preparations intensify for the 2027 general elections.
