The announcement was made in Abuja on Thursday, February 6, 2026.
Governor Hope Uzodimma of Imo State, who was initially named chairman, has been reassigned to serve as treasurer.
The committee’s membership has also been expanded from 73 to 90 members to accommodate additional party stakeholders.
Newly added members include Senator Barry Mpigi and several other prominent APC chieftains.
The party explained that the adjustments reflect zoning considerations and strategic exigencies in preparation for the 2026 national convention.
APC sources noted that the reshuffle aims to ensure broader representation and strengthen internal party coordination ahead of key events.
Party officials emphasised that the revised committee would work cohesively to guarantee a smooth and inclusive convention process.
