APC Ibadan primary dispute intensifies as Folake Olunloyo-Osinlowo and Rotimi Ajanaku both claim victory in the federal constituency election
A leadership crisis has emerged within the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ibadan North West/Ibadan South West Federal Constituency as two aspirants, Folake Olunloyo-Osinlowo and Rotimi Ajanaku, both claim victory in the party’s primary election.

Ibadan APC primary crisis followed the conduct of the federal constituency primaries held on Saturday, where six aspirants contested for the party’s ticket.
The contenders included Kazeem Abimbola Abogun, Rotimi Ajanaku, Folake Olunloyo, Biodun Ikumogunniyi, Tobi Dollar, Demola Alawuje and Taoheed Bolaji Adeleke.
Since the exercise, both Folake Olunloyo-Osinlowo and Rotimi Ajanaku have publicly insisted that they emerged as the authentic winner of the election, deepening confusion within the party structure.
Olunloyo-Osinlowo has reportedly been thanking supporters and sharing messages suggesting she secured the ticket, while Ajanaku has also maintained that he won the contest.
A senior APC member in the constituency, who spoke anonymously, confirmed that both aspirants are laying claim to the same ticket, describing the situation as unusual and potentially divisive.
The source noted that with only one ticket available, the dual claims have created uncertainty, adding that party leadership may need to intervene to resolve the dispute.

As of the time of filing this report, both camps continue to stand firm on their claims, with no official clarification yet from the party on the authentic winner of the primary.
