APC Chairman Hails Tinubu as Nigeria’s Best Politician

APC National Chairman Nentawe Yilwatda praises President Bola Tinubu as Nigeria’s best politician while receiving a traditional title in Plateau State

The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, has described President Bola Tinubu as the finest politician Nigeria has ever produced, saying he is proud to be learning the art of politics from him.

Yilwatda made the remarks on Saturday during his conferment with the traditional title of ‘Kaeh-rit’ in Kanke Local Government Area.

The former Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction under Tinubu was appointed APC National Chairman in July following the removal of former Kano State governor Abdullahi Ganduje.

Speaking at the ceremony, Yilwatda said the President had “adopted” him as his political son and was mentoring him in governance and party leadership.

“I’m learning from the best leader, Asiwaju Tinubu. Mr. President is one of the finest politicians you can learn from, and since adopting me as his son, I’ve learned so much from him.

He is teaching me, and I am learning. So, if you see me succeeding, it is because I am learning from the very best politician ever produced in Nigeria,” Yilwatda said.

In a move to support food security, Yilwatda also donated N10 million, seedlings, and farm inputs to farmers in Kanke LGA, in line with President Tinubu’s initiatives to boost food production and reduce poverty.

He further welcomed Governor Caleb Mutfwang’s recent defection to the APC, emphasising that aligning government and party structures under a single platform would benefit Plateau State.

“The person who joins APC today has the same rights as someone who has been here for a thousand years. We do not differentiate our membership. Our national and local structures will be aligned to serve the people of Plateau,” he said.

The traditional title in Kanke is Yilwatda’s second in less than two weeks, following a similar honour from the Tiv nation in Benue State recognising his humanitarian contributions.
