The suspended officers include the State Secretary, Yusuf Alkali; Assistant State Financial Secretary (Central Zone), Abba Galadima; and the State Publicity Secretary, Murtala Ali.
The decision followed findings linking them to actions considered capable of undermining party integrity, according to a statement issued after an emergency meeting on December 10, 2025.
“These measures are essential to safeguard the stability and progress of the ADC in Sokoto State. Conduct capable of jeopardising the unity of the party will not be condoned,” the statement said.
The resolution was jointly signed by 25 of the 33 members of the state executive council and endorsed by Deputy State Chairman Alhaji Bello Illela on behalf of the endorsing members.
The vote of confidence in Keegan was described as necessary to “maintain unity, stability and organisational discipline” within the party.
The executive committee also directed Umar Mohammed to cease presenting himself as chairman, describing his actions as “fraudulent, illegal and intended to mislead the public.”
ADC Sokoto has faced internal disputes recently, with rival factions claiming leadership control, citing parallel meetings and conflicting directives.
The emergency meeting aimed to clarify the leadership question, restore order, and prevent further fragmentation.
