Speaking to reporters in Akure, Adetimehin said Tinubu’s rise to the presidency was divinely orchestrated to rescue Nigeria from years of economic and institutional decline.
He added that ongoing reforms, though challenging, are necessary for long-term national stability and growth.
Adetimehin likened the present economic situation to the birth pains of a new Nigeria, pointing to gradual declines in the prices of essential commodities as evidence of the administration’s progress.
He cited market surveys showing that the price of a bag of rice has fallen from nearly N120,000 last year to about N51,000 today.
“President Bola Tinubu is a messiah sent by God at this time. You can see his efforts in infrastructural development and economic reforms,” Adetimehin said.
He urged Nigerians to exercise patience and continue to support the president, highlighting policies such as fuel subsidy removal, tax reforms, and broader economic stabilisation efforts.
The APC chairman also lauded party supporters in Ondo State for their resilience amid current economic realities.
He reaffirmed the commitment of the state party to mobilising grassroots support for Tinubu and clarified the role of various support groups campaigning for his re-election.
“If you are talking about support groups, they are just pressure groups working with the party. They are loyal to the party under my watch. I will never allow the party to be balkanised,” Adetimehin said.
He called on APC members to maintain internal cohesion, stressing that unity is critical to the success of President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda and the continued dominance of the party in Ondo State.
