APC says Governor Seyi Makinde is responsible for PDP’s woes, urging Nigerians not to blame President Tinubu for the opposition party’s challenges
The All Progressives Congress (APC) has urged Nigerians to hold Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State, rather than President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, responsible for the misfortunes currently affecting the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

APC said that while some Nigerians have attributed the PDP’s challenges to President Tinubu, the governor and other PDP leaders bear primary responsibility.
In the statement, APC Publicity Secretary in Oyo State, Wasiu Olawale Sadare, accused Governor Makinde of undermining the party.
He said: “Rather than look inward for solutions, supposed elders and leaders within the PDP left everything to chance and paved the way for the likes of Gov. Makinde to take over the affairs of their party. Because he lacked capacity, experience and other traits required to lead a national party, Gov. Makinde emerged the final nemesis which consumed the PDP.”
Sadare noted that Makinde is now the only PDP governor in Southern Nigeria, with only a handful remaining in the North.
He added that Makinde cannot revive the party from its current “comatose condition” and questioned his mission and vision for the PDP.

The statement concluded by asserting that President Tinubu should remain focused on his presidential duties rather than being blamed for the opposition party’s internal challenges.
