Dikko Radda medical leave has been officially announced to begin on August 18, as the Katsina State governor steps away for a three-week medical break aimed at revitalizing his health and leadership energy.

The news was confirmed in a statement issued by the state’s Commissioner for Information and Culture, Dr. Bala Salisu-Zango, who emphasized the temporary nature of the leave and the arrangements in place to maintain seamless governance.
Governor Radda, in his message to the public, expressed gratitude for the outpouring of support and underscored the importance of health in maintaining effective leadership.
“Taking the necessary steps to prioritize my health is essential so I can continue to serve effectively and make the best decisions for our state,” Radda stated.
He assured citizens that his temporary absence would not affect the pace of governance, as Deputy Governor Malam Faruk Lawal-Jobe is set to step in and manage state affairs during this period.
The governor added he had full confidence in Lawal-Jobe’s capacity to lead with commitment and diligence, ensuring that all programmes and projects continue without disruption.
“We wish to assure the public that all ongoing initiatives, programmes, and projects will continue to progress without interruption,” the statement added.

Radda closed his message with an optimistic tone, saying he looked forward to returning with renewed energy to continue serving the people of Katsina.
