The directive was disclosed in a statement signed by the governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Dr. Monday Uzor, on Tuesday, ordering all affected aides to return to work without delay.

“The affected commissioners, Senior Special Assistants (SSAs), Special Assistants (SAs), and permanent secretaries are to resume official duties immediately,” the statement read.

The mass suspension, which was issued on July 28, involved the Attorney General, 25 commissioners, 22 permanent secretaries, 14 senior special assistants, and 24 special assistants.

During the sanction, they were barred from official assignments and denied salaries.

While the specific reason for lifting the suspension was not detailed, the governor’s decision is seen as an attempt to restore administrative stability while reinforcing discipline.
