Afenifere Defends Tinubu Administration, Slams Kwankwaso’s Claims

In a strongly worded statement, Afenifere’s National Organizing Secretary, Otunba Kole Omololu, described Kwankwaso’s claims as “deliberately incendiary” and lacking factual basis.

Omololu reminded the public that during former President Muhammadu Buhari’s tenure, the North received the lion’s share of federal projects.

“The World Bank was even directed to focus its efforts specifically on northern Nigeria—Kwankwaso was silent then,” he noted.

He cited examples such as the Kano-Maradi railway extending into Niger Republic and the delayed completion of key southern projects like the Lagos-Ibadan expressway and the Second Niger Bridge under Buhari.

“In contrast,” Omololu said, “Tinubu’s administration has already launched and funded vital northern projects like the Kano-Maiduguri road and AKK gas pipeline.”
