Speaking at the 14th APC National Executive Committee meeting held on Thursday, 24 July 2025, at the State House Banquet Hall, Abuja, the President charged party leaders to reinforce internal structures and boost political mobilisation at the grassroots level.
“With the space we’ve created for aspiring members to join us, our doors remain open, and we should embrace them wholeheartedly,” Tinubu stated.
He proposed forming a national working committee to oversee seamless registration of new members across all 36 states and the FCT. He also supported the idea of a council of elders to guide the registration process.
Expressing concern over the pace of governance in local areas, Tinubu urged governors to enhance delivery of democratic dividends.
“Nigerians are still complaining at the grassroots. Governors, you must water the grass more,” he warned.
The President also highlighted the need for a permanent APC national secretariat, urging state leaders to collaborate with the FCT Minister to secure land. “Let us leave a legacy of development,” he said.
While thanking party officials for their confidence, Tinubu reaffirmed his administration’s focus on economic reforms, food security, and national stability.
“We face no fear — only upward growth,” he declared. “We will keep working hard and listening to all of you to meet the nation’s goals and expectations.”
