Omisore Labels Adeleke a Political Orphan Amid APC Defection Rumour

Ademola Adeleke APC defection rumours grow as Omisore calls Osun governor a political orphan and claims he is begging to join ruling party

Senator Iyiola Omisore has described Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke as a political orphan amid growing speculation of an Ademola Adeleke APC defection.

Speaking on Channels Television, Omisore claimed that Adeleke, elected on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party, has been begging to join the All Progressives Congress.

“For the past three years, he has been governing that state, with no single person defecting from APC to PDP,” Omisore said. “Meanwhile, one over seventh of PDP members have moved to APC, which you know.”

The former APC national secretary accused Adeleke of lobbying party stalwarts, including a southern APC governor, to allow him into the party.

“Why do you want to force yourself on the party? Why is the governor begging to enter the party?” he asked. “He is struggling, begging and fighting to join APC.”
