President Bola Tinubu has taken a dig at Peter Obi over erosion challenges in Anambra State, contrasting it with his own record as Lagos State governor.
Tinubu made the remarks on Friday during an All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential rally in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State.
Referring to the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) presidential candidate, the President said: “There is one who says he is in a party they call NDC, who is running for president.
He ran away from erosion in Anambra State. He could not confront erosion.”
He added: “I, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, confronted the Atlantic Ocean. I tamed it.”
Tinubu made the comments while praising Akwa Ibom State Governor Umo Eno for reclaiming land from erosion for a resort project.
The President further questioned Obi’s leadership credentials, asking whether someone who allegedly failed to confront erosion should be seeking the presidency.
